On a perfect evening for cricket, Boyne Hill left it late to steal the win.

After winning the toss and deciding to bowl, Boyne Hill had a mixed performance. Our fielding was well below par, gifting Binfield a number of boundaries that almost cost us the match. Fortunately, we picked up 7 wickets in the innings (2 for Anya and 1 for Ellie, Anaiya, Navya Lilian and Martha) to keep their net score at a chasable 282.
We lacked our usual confidence with bat today, struggling to find the boundary and instead relying on some crafty running to make the most of our situation. We only lost 1 wicket in the innings which gave us the chance to steal the win and a boundary from Lilian on the penultimate ball was enough to get us over the line.
Well done girls on grinding out a win against a decent Binfield team, I think we will work on our fielding this Friday !
