A mixture of youth and experience took to the field at Pinkneys Green on Monday night, with two lads playing up from u9 and u11, as well as Albie making his club debut.

PG won the toss and elected to bat, getting off to a strong start before an excellent run out from sub fielder Rohan got the first breakthrough.

After that regular wickets fell thanks to some accurate bowling from across the team, taking advantage of a tricky slow surface. Special mention to the three leg spinners, Oskar (2-4) Rakshan (2-6) and Jayen (1-3) all showing great control.

Chasing 102, Shreyas and Aum both got the Hill off to a flowing start. When they both departed, skipper Will and Adam came together, with the pair putting on 29 for the 3rd wicket. Both batted with great patience and maturity, chasing a modest total.

When Rakshan came in at 63/3, the game was in the balance but an extraordinary 20-run over including a towering six over square leg put the game to bed, with Pranshu coming on to hit the winning runs with a majestic flick for four.
